A brief Introduction of Myself…Adela Maria Wozniak Balkun Fandetti

I was born of Russian-Jewish/Polish American parents in April, 1936. My Grandparents raised me in Providence, Rhode Island. I never knew my parents. However, my grandmother, Helena, was and is my most wonderful memory of my childhood.

I was wed for 33 years. I wed when I was 20 years old and had 10 blessings of whom only 5 survived. I

I think that all of my life Jesus has been whispering “Come follow me” in one way or another. He meant for me to live a live of solitude and servitude for the rest of my life.

I wasn’t meant to waste a minute on watercolors and gardening. Oh no! He led me to Mother Theresa and the Missionary of Charity Sisters. At the age of 53, from Calcutta, she said, “Come to Calcutta, we cannot spoil God’s plan…Yes, Adelle.” Even though Mother said that the order did not usually invite women older than the age of 35…she would love for me to come! “The work is very hard, Adelle…we shall see!” I worked in Harlam first and then was assigned to Chester, PA. as house mother to unwed mothers with Aids. I have repeated this often with much disappointment in my heart…the work was long and hard. I broke down and became ill. So home again I went…to my home in FL. What I found there…my youngest son came back home looking for me. He was broke, sick, and helpless with a broken mind.

WE have been together since 1995. Since then Jesus has said…”come” several times. This time on the internet…miracle of all miracles. I studied Divine Will…the new holiness. He led me to The Secular Order of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. An order, for married couples to take an oath and to study and live Divine Will!…He led me to Pope John Paul II Confraternity…Divine Will. I attended a retreat at my parish given by the Sons of the Divine Will…a new order of priests…all connected with the Secular Order, the Confraternity, the priests, and to John Paul II. It was amazing how He led me from one to the other to the other.

After living this life and studying…I heard a new calling. It happened just as it always does. Christ leads me directly to the message He wants me to receive. I was on my way to do an errand in another part of town. I knew that the parish of St. Bernadette had perpetual devotion. Usually Jesus will lead me to a chapel or a church…(that I am not familiar with) and lo and behold there He is …alone and deserted. In this chapel he had a book written by Van Hildebrand. “Of this world but not in it’. I TOOK IT HOME! It led me to the computer and to BSP. Miracle of all miracles…it was one, two, three! I speak daily and pray in the Will of God…but, I am filled with a hunger to starve my passions and to learn the way of Francis. I am thirsting for his thoughts, words, ways, and sufferings. Francis’ words…I am being called again by Francis and Christ…”Come Follow Me’’
