The weight is unbearable. Jesus falls under it. He lays on the ground and knows the experience of weakness beneath unfair burdens. He feels the powerlessness of wondering if he will ever be able to continue. He is pulled up and made to continue. As we behold him there on the ground, being roughly pulled up, we know forever how profoundly he understands our fatigue and our defeats.Where there is injury from sin,
Where there is doubt, Lord
as the world lays many doubts on your gospel teachings
let me continue to be strong
and follow with courage in your footsteps
and let me have true faith in only you.
My Jesus, pardon and mercy through the merits of thy sacred wounds.
